Special Edition Box: THRILLS & CHILLS (preorder)

You’ll find a new Feminist Book Club special edition box available each season. These boxes don’t require a subscription, feature books we’ve never carried, and are in limited supply.

Spooky season is behind us, but we think winter is a wonderful time to curl up on the couch and dig into some horror. The world is a scary place right now, and sometimes the antidote is simply… a much scarier place. That’s what you can look forward to in our Thrills and Chills boxes this season.

1. Jawbone by Mónica Ojeda (content warnings): Fernanda and Annelise are so close they are practically sisters: a double image, inseparable. So how does Fernanda end up bound on the floor of an abandoned cabin, kidnapped by one of her teachers and estranged from Annelise?
2. The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw (content warnings): You may think you know how the fairytale goes: a mermaid comes to shore and weds the prince. But what the fables forget is that mermaids have teeth. And now, her daughters have devoured the kingdom and burned it to ashes.
3. Scented candle from Fly Paper Products: Cozy up with a 4-oz scented candle from this woman-owned bookish business based out of Ann Arbor. We’ll surprise you with a scent celebrating plot twists, cliffhangers, or book lovers everywhere.
