Gender, Fashion, and Feminism with Natalia and Lucy

Can you be a fashion icon and truly feminist? What does it mean to critically examine your clothing choices and attire? How do we, as intersectional feminists, consume fashion and question the systems in place that exploit mostly BIPOC women? How do we queer fashion so that it’s expansive, instead of limiting? How do we treat ourselves like the works of art we truly are? Lots of questions on this episode, but there’s nobody we’d rather answer them with, than you.

Renee Powers founded Feminist Book Club in 2018 to provide a space for intersectional feminists to learn, grow, and connect. When not reading or running the biz, you can find her drinking coffee and trying unsuccessfully to teach her retired racing greyhound how to fetch. Favorite genres: feminist thrillers, contemporary literary fiction, short stories, and anything that might be described as "irreverent"
